Western Earth Carers Programme

The WMRC’s Earth Carers Programme educates, advises and facilitates environmentally sustainable practices and behaviours among residents in Perth’s western suburbs.

The programme operates in our member councils:

  • Town of Claremont
  • Town of Cottesloe
  • Town of Mosman Park
  • Shire of Peppermint Grove
  • City of Subiaco

and the City of Nedlands

Western Earth Carers educate and support their communities to reduce waste at home, school or work and encourage earth friendly living. Earth Carers love to talk about conserving more and consuming less and get really excited about closing the loop  through composting and sharing tips and ideas on how to make this happen.

We provide waste and recycling education on behalf of the Town of Claremont, Town of Cottesloe, Town of Mosman Park, Shire of Peppermint Grove, and City of Subiaco and support the City of Nedlands.

Earth Carers can:

  • Show friends and neighbours how to compost
  • Help your local school establish a worm farm
  • Change the way waste is dealt with in your workplace
  • Attend local events as an Earth Carer volunteer
