As of 1 January 2026, Council Members, Committee Members and Candidates are guided by the updated Local Government (Model Code of Conduct) Regulations 2021 to embrace a minimum standard of professional conduct. The Code of Conduct as required under Section 5.103 of the Local Government Act only applies to staff.
