Find out at a community tour of Claw Environmental Plastic Recycling Facility ♻️ in Welshpool! See for yourself how a plastics recycling facility works and the different types of plastics that CAN and CAN’T be recycled. You will learn how different plastics are processed, pelletised, and manufactured into new recycled plastic products.

Event details:
Time: 2:30pm-4pm
Location: Rear yard of 5 Forge Street, Welshpool WA 6106. Parking is available at the front of the site.
Wear: Fully enclosed shoes 👞. It is also recommended you wear darker coloured clothes as it can get a little dusty and dirty on site. Bring your own water bottle.
Protection Gear: Single-use ear plugs will be provided on the tour. Please BYO ear plugs if you have some and would like to reduce your waste. Reusable high-visibility vests will also be provided.
Tour: Your tour involves walking around an active site outdoors 🌞. A reasonable level of fitness is required. Your tour will be followed by time for questions, a cuppa or coffee and light refreshments.
Tickets: Cost $5 + Eventbrite booking fee.

Tickets are non-refunadable. If you can no longer attend this event, please contact community@wmrc.wa.gov.au to transfer your ticket to another WMRC event.
Member council tickets are available to residents from Claremont, Cottesloe, Mosman Park, Peppermint Grove & Subiaco. General admission tickets are available for Cambridge, Nedlands and residents from other councils. If the ticket cost is a barrier to coming to this event please call on 9384 6711 and we are happy to assist.
