SUMMARY:Clothing Swap with the Sustainable Style Counsellor
DESCRIPTION:Does your wardrobe need a sustainable refresh? Join WMRC’s Adult Clothing Swap featuring guest presenter and Style Counsellor\, Ciara Lowe-Thiedeman! Clothing swaps are a way of sharing unwanted but quality garments with your local community. It’s a great alternative to fast fashion while getting a new look. \nHow it works: \n1) Look through your cupboards to find clean and good-quality items you no longer wear to donate to the swap. ❌Please no kids’ clothes or bric-a-brac at this event ❌ \n2) Drop off your clothing between 9am-9.30am\, for our volunteers to organise. \n3) Be seated by 9.30am and enjoy Ciara the Sustainable Style Counsellor discuss the power of styling from 9.30am-10.30am. \n4) Once the talk has finished you can browse the racks at your leisure from 10.30am-12pm to find new treasures! \nBuy tickets here: https://events.humanitix.com/clothing-swap-with-the-sustainable-style-counsellor-4exp3599 \nMore about Ciara: \nSustainable style guru and mental-health activist Ciara Lowe-Thiedeman leads with joyful conviction and vulnerability in her work which is changing lives all over Perth. This London-trained award-winning personal stylist is shaking up the world of sustainable personal style through successful keynotes\, presentations\, and one-on-one coaching sessions. Let the Style Counsellor teach you how to become sustainably stylish\, to re-think and reduce textile waste and consider how to BUY LESS\, BUY BETTER\, LOOK BETTER AND DO BETTER.\n\nWMRC Textile Trail: \nThis event is part of WMRC’s (Re)Love Your Stuff Textile Trail on 16 November and is supported by the Government of Western Australia and the Waste Authority. Find more Textile Trail events here. \nA note to resellers: \nPlease note that WMRC clothing swaps are local community events for people to refresh their wardrobes with clothes that are new to them. They are not held for resellers to source stock. You will be asked to leave if we believe you are collecting clothes for resale. If you are struggling financially and need a large quantity of clothing\, please let the WMRC staff know so we can arrange something for you.
