DESCRIPTION:Join WMRC & The Town of Claremont to learn how you can go low-waste this festive season🎁 \nAt this event\, you will hear a waste talk from WMRC’s Waste Education Officer and learn how to make your own coffee scrub & cleanser\, the perfect low-waste gift! Please BYO jar for the coffee scrub🫙🎄 \nDate: Wednesday 3rd December \nTime: 2pm – 3.30pm \nLocation: Bay View Community Centre\, located at 64 Bay View Terrace\, Claremont \nParking: There is street parking located along Bay View Terrace. Please allow enough time to find parking.\nAlternatively\, the library is a short walk from the train station. \nLow-waste morning tea will be provided 🍰 \nHow it will work: \n\n2pm – 2.30pm: presentation by WMRC officers\n2.30pm – 3.30pm: DIY coffee scrub & cleanser workshop\n\nTerms & Conditions \nTickets are non-refundable. Find out how a transfer station operates and the varied community recycling services on offer. \nWhat we’ll cover: \n\nThe history of Perth landfills and waste disposal\nThe purpose of transfer stations in the recovery of residual\, green\, and Food Organics Garden Organics (FOGO) waste.\nDisposal options for household waste including the recycling and recovery processes for cardboard\, e-waste\, bulk polystyrene\, plastic plant pots\, bicycles\, x-rays\, white goods\, cooking oil\, mattresses\, scrap metal recycling\, and more.\nExisting government and industry initiatives that help you to safely dispose of hazardous and problematic household items like paint\, poisons\, pesticides\, flares\, batteries\, fluorescent tubes\, fire extinguishers\, electronic waste\, and more for FREE.\n\nWear: Fully enclosed footwear\, BYO hat\, sunscreen\, and water bottle. \nTour: This event involves walking around an active site outdoors. A reasonable level of fitness is required. This tour is not suitable for children under the age of 12. Children between the ages of 12-16 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
