DESCRIPTION:🪡 Join Olga and her team from Studio Thimbles to learn how to use visible mending to fix and revive your items! 🧵 This 2-part workshop series is designed to teach you some practical mending skills and encourage you to get creative and personalise your clothing 👕. \nOver the two workshops\, you will be covering: \n\nFundamental skills for hand sewing such as setting up the needle\, tying proper knots and how to start & finish your stitching\nVarious hand-stitching methods that are essential for mending\nHow to do embroidery stitching to add decorative elements to the mending process\nElements of Sashiko stitching\, a traditional Japanese technique that is popular in the world of visible mending\n\n❗ Please note that this is a 2-part workshop\, and you will need to attend both 2-hour workshops over the two weeks ❗ \nDetails: \n📅 Date: Wednesday 4th September & Wednesday 11th September \n🕙Time: 5pm – 7pm \n🏠 Address: Subiaco Library located at 237 Rokeby Rd\, Subiaco\n \n🚗Parking: Street parking is available.
