DESCRIPTION:Join WMRC for a behind-the-scenes tour of Good Sammy in Canning Vale to see what happens to your donations. \nEvent details: \n📅 Date: Thursday 8th August \n⏰Time: 9am – 11.00am \n🚩Location: 33-35 Bannister Road\, Canning Vale. There is plenty of parking onsite. \n👞Wear: Fully enclosed shoes. Reusable high-visibility vests and gloves will be provided. \n💰Tickets: Cost $5 + booking fee. Register for a ticket here: https://events.humanitix.com/good-sammy-tour \n  \nTour details: \n\n9am – 9.30am: Welcome and waste talk\n9.30am – 10.30am: Tour of the Good Sammy facility\n10.30am – 11am: Morning tea with Q&A session\n\nOnce the event finishes at 11am you can enjoy the on-site op-shop! \n  \nMember council tickets are available to residents from Claremont\, Cottesloe\, Mosman Park\, Peppermint Grove & Subiaco. General admission tickets are available for Cambridge\, Nedlands and residents from other councils. \nTickets are non-refundable. DESCRIPTION:Join Carey Wright\, multi-winner of the WA Waste Sorted Innovation Award\, to learn more about: \n\nThe state of WA’s textile waste and the issues associated with fast fashion.\nHow to identify different types of textiles and why it’s important for building a sustainable wardrobe.\nHow to extend the life of your items through proper care- including stain removal and washing techniques\, and the best methods for drying and storing.\nDifferent methods you can adopt to maintain and repair your textiles and accessories.\n\nThe presentation will be followed by WMRC’s morning clothing swap where you can swap clothes\, shoes\, and accessories you no longer wear and leave with a refreshed wardrobe without the big spend! 👗 \nGot some items to fix? 🛠️ Then bring any clothing or jewellery need mending as we will have Repair Lab joining us on Saturday 🧵. \nHow it works: \n1) Register for a ticket: https://events.humanitix.com/clothing-swap-with-carey-wright \nTickets are limited and non-refundable. If you can no longer attend this event\, your ticket can be swapped for another WMRC event if enough notice is given. \n2) 9.30am – 10am: Check in & donate your good-quality clothes.
