DESCRIPTION:Does your wardrobe need a sustainable refresh? Join WMRC’s Adult Clothing Swap featuring guest presenter and Style Counsellor\, Ciara Lowe-Thiedeman! Clothing swaps are a way of sharing unwanted but quality garments with your local community. SUMMARY:Upcycled Party Decorations Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join WMRC for an upcycling workshop using rescued wedding dresses! \nAttendees will: \n\nLearn key skills to upcycle rescued items.\nChange their perspective on unwanted textiles.\nBe inspired to make their next event low-waste with stylish upcycled decorations.\nTake home their very own low-waste\, reusable party and Christmas decorations including festive garlands\, tulle pom-poms and ornaments!\n\nAll materials\, including wedding dresses\, will be provided. Attendees also have the option to bring their own wedding dress to upcycle. \nThis is a great workshop for people passionate about sustainability and looking for new ways to upcycle unwanted or unneeded textile items.\nBeginners are welcome\, this workshop is suitable for those aged 12+ \nThe wedding dresses used in this workshop have been donated by Vinnies WA Op Shops as they are damaged and unsellable.
