Let’s celebrate National Recycling Week! ♻️

Join us for a behind-the-scenes tour of your local recycling centre. You’ll learn about free reuse and recycling services on offer, what happens to the waste from your bins once it’s picked up from the verge, and what to do with those hard-to-recycle items.

What we’ll cover:

• The past and future of waste disposal in Perth
• The role of a transfer station (us!) in the recovery of residual, green, and Food Organics Garden Organics (FOGO) waste
• Reuse and recycling options for household waste including cardboard, e-waste, bulk polystyrene, plastic plant pots, bicycles, x-rays, whitegoods, cooking oil, mattresses, scrap metal, and more
• Government and industry initiatives that support the safe and free disposal of hazardous and problematic household items like paint, chemicals, pesticides, and batteries

What to wear: Fully enclosed footwear and long pants. You may like to bring gloves.

What to bring: Hat, sunscreen, and water bottle.
