INTENTION TO UNDERTAKE A SIGNIFICANT ACT DURING CARETAKER PERIOD

The Council at its Ordinary Council Meeting on 25 September 2025 intends to award a contract from tender invitation RFT05-2025 WMRC Mattress Haulage and Processing Services. This is deemed a Significant Act in accordance with the Local Government Act.

The decision to invite tenders was taken before the commencement of the Caretaker Period.

The Director General of the Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety on 3 September 2025 granted an exemption to the WMRC to be able to undertake this Significant Act in accordance with section 3.73 6(b) of the Local Government Act.
