“But I don’t want it to go to landfill.”
Nobody wants to see preloved items end up landfill, especially when they can be easily repaired, re-loved, re-homed or re-used.
The good news is that the circular economy is thriving and it is easy to find repair or reuse avenues for your pre-loved items. Simply said: if it’s too good to throw away, gift it, donate it, sell it or fix it. Leave landfill as a last resort.
Try these free local services to re-house your old furniture, toys, clothing, sports equipment, bikes, bric-a-brac, books and more. Some charities even offer a free collection service for bulky items.
