The WMRC accepts clean greenwaste for processing into mulch. Clean greenwaste includes:

• Garden prunings (excluding lawn clippings).
• Weeds
• Tree stumps

Clean greenwaste refers to garden prunings that are free from rubbish and inorganic contaminants. Lawn clippings are not accepted.

Each year, approximately 5,000 tonnes of greenwaste is recycled at the facility. It’s ground up into mulch, which member and participating council residents can collect for free – it’s great for your garden. Find out more about our mulch here.

If you are a resident of the Town of Claremont, Town of Mosman Park, Shire of Peppermint Grove or City of Subiaco, you will have received greenwaste waste passes with your rates notice.
